Councillor and Community Leaders Help with Canada 150 Tulip Bulb Planting

The University was selected in a Canada-wide competition, sponsored by the Canadian Garden Council, Vesey’s Bulbs, Canada Post, Niagara Parks, Via Rail and a host of other Canadian associations and companies, to win one of 150 ‘150th Celebration Gardens’ being distributed across Canada in celebration of Canada’s Sesquicentennial in 2017. Taking part in the official planting ceremony on October 24, 2016 were students from the University’s sesquicentennial committee, Julie Mathien of the Huron-Sussex Residents Association, Ceta Ramkhalawansing of the Grange Community Association, VP, University Operations Scott Mabury and Councillor Joe Cressy.
